Photographs
PSAT collects photographic images of people, places and events
related to the history of our community.
This can include:
- photographs of patients in psychiatric institutions and in the community from the 19th century to the present;
- photographs of buildings or other structures, such as gardens or fountains built by asylum inmates;
- photographs of places of work for people who were, or are, psychiatric patients, such as farms, occupational therapy and industrial therapy, sheltered workshops, alternative businesses;
- photos of living conditions of ex-patients in the community, such as in boarding houses;
- photos of events taken at community events, rallies, conferences, picnics, etc.
- casual photos of people in their day-to-day life, such as psychiatric survivors going out with their friends or family;
- photographs of anything created by psychiatric survivors, such as banners, woodwork, artwork, clothing, collages, etc.
All photos will be covered by privacy and copyright laws, where applicable
